Hello, I am Deborah Washington and this is a bit about me.

I have been a chef for 30 years creating unique and

intriguing meals for friends, families, parties and social events.

Although I have paid my dues working in commercial kitchens,

I prefer the versatility and social benefits of working as a Personal Chef, bringing my skills and infectious love of food into your home or 'en tu casa'.

Visual Arts

Until several years ago, I had maintained

a parallel career as a visual artist and

until recently I have worked in commercial

interior design with an architectural firm.

This creative background is the aesthetic I bring

to all of my work in the kitchen.

As well as being an artist, I have been, over

the years, a gardener of extensive ornamental,

orchard and organic vegetable plots.

My understanding of how our produce is actually grown

and the many varieties of plant foods have added

to my overall knowledge and appreciation of food.


If I had a motto it would be 'I travel to eat'.

My world travels have taken me to countries

where I have had the good fortune to work

with and learn from many local chefs.

Never saying no (well almost) to whatever offered,

my love and knowledge of many international

cuisines comes first hand. 

Today I still continue to travel and expand upon a

repertoire of recipes from all over the globe.
